NBU Governor: Ukraine this year may not receive credits from EU and IMF

International reserves of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) are projected to increase to $17.5 billion by the end of 2016, if Ukraine receives a credit totaling 600 million euros from the European Union and a credit totaling 1.3 billion U.S. dollars from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
NBU Governor Valeria Gontareva stated this at a press briefing in the central bank, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Our current forecast of foreign exchange reserves is projected at 17.5 billion U.S. dollars. This forecast includes 600 million from the EU and 1.3 billion from the IMF. However, there are risks that we’ll not manage to receive these funds until the end of the current year and so then we’ll reconsider our forecast of reserves,” Gontareva said.
She also stressed that Ukraine should continue cooperation with international creditors.
