Economy Ministry: Ukraine-EU trade turnover increases by 6% since January

The trade turnover between Ukraine and the EU has increased by 6% for the first nine months of this year as a result of the Free Trade Area Agreement, which came into force on January 1, 2016.

This is reported by the Economic Development and Trade Ministry of Ukraine on its Facebook page.

"The European Union is Ukraine's main trading partner, accounting for 41% of our foreign trade in goods. This is a positive result of the Free Trade Area Agreement, which came into force on January 1, 2016. The trade turnover between Ukraine and the EU has increased by 6% for the first nine months of this year, while our exports have increased by 4.4%," the statement reads.
