The adoption by the Ukrainian Parliament last week of a decision to extend the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land till January 2018 will have a major negative impact on the regions.

This was announced at the VI Key issues of the Year national forum of experts by the co-chair of strategic advisers to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Ivan Miklos, a correspondent of Ukrinform reports.

"The adoption last week of a decision to extend the moratorium on land sales will have a big negative impact on the regions, because the sale of land could be one of the biggest development elements and resource for both development and investment," said Miklos.

He added that this decision will have a negative impact not only on regional development, but also on people and other aspects of life, whose potential will simply not be used.
