System of NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine needs upgrading – Groysman

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this at the Government’s meeting on Thursday, Government’s portal reported.

"This issue once again drew [attention] to the fact that the system of Naftogaz should be retrofitted, that we should create full, public, transparent companies, that we must improve the system of management, corporatisation of these enterprises. So, the process of controlling by the Cabinet of Ministers will speed up the procedure of unbundling functions, respectively, gas transmission and storage, as well as gas production in order to build an efficient system", he said.

The Prime Minister reminded that the previous week the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade within the scope of responsibilities took a technical decision to control Ukrtransgas and Naftogaz.
