The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has retained its forecast of foreign currency reserves at the level of $17.2 billion by the end of 2016, only on a condition of the fourth tranche form the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

NBU Chairperson Valeria Gontareva said this at a press conference on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We retain the forecast regarding reserves at the level of $17.2 billion by the end of this year on a condition of getting the fourth tranche from the IMF,” Gontareva stressed.

She also noted that the third IMF tranche worth $1 billion will be used to replenish international reserves.
