Exchange rate at level of UAH 25 per US dollar possible after cooperation with IMF resumed – expert

The exchange rate at the end of the year could reach UAH 25-27 per US dollar on condition that Ukraine carries out structural reforms and resumes cooperation with the IMF.
Executive Director of the Blazer International Fund Oleh Ustenko said this at a press conference regarding the exchange rate in Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The probability of the exchange rate at the level of UAH 25-27 per US dollar is about 85%. It will be based on the fact that Ukraine will show the results of structural reforms, which mean the resumption of cooperation with international financial institutions," he said.
According to him, there is also worst-case scenario, if the cooperation with the IMF is not resumed, then the exchange rate may be UAH 30 per US dollar.
