Government approves procedure for keeping register of 'organic' producers

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has agreed the procedure for keeping the register of the producers of organic products (raw materials).
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman said this at today's Cabinet's meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The decision was made," Groysman said.
As explained by Agrarian Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine Taras Kutovy, the adopted procedure for keeping the register of producers of organic products (raw materials) will not provide anything new in principle, but will attract investments in the Ukrainian organic agricultural production.
"Only the data specified in the producer's license will be entered in such a register, i.e. no new information will be required. The register will be open and available on the website of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection," Kutovy said.
