Ecology Minister Semerak: State Service of Geology should be reformed

The minister said this in an interview with Ukrinform.

“We have created a working group that elaborates methods to reform the system of natural recourses’ use. The reform will create new transparent, open, competitive rules of the state policy and the use of natural recourses. The State Service of Geology and Natural Recourses should be also reformed. We should divide its functions, as at present one establishment is in charge of exploration, and the issuance of permits for production [of mineral resources], and then it itself checks the process of realization.
