The general fund of local budgets grew up to UAH 54 billion for the first five months of 2016, which is UAH 17 billion more than over the same period in 2015.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this at today’s meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Nearly UAH 54 billion were transferred to the general fund of local budgets over five months of this year. This is almost UAH 17 billion more than over the same period in 2015. In fact, the growth is 50%," Groysman said.

He stressed that these funds should be used to improve people's lives.

"We have enough funds for roads, clinics, stadiums, kindergartens," Groysman said.
