The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has retained its forecast for Ukrainian economic growth in 2016 at 1.5% with inflation at 15.1%

This is stated in the IMF's latest Regional Economic Issues report for countries of Eastern Europe and the Baltic states, Radio Liberty reports.

“The Fund also has retained its forecast for 2017 at 2.5% of the GDP growth with inflation at 11%,” reads the report.

According to IMF experts, Ukrainian export rates will continue to decline in 2016, but not as significantly as in 2015. The decline will reach 4.1%. At the same time, exports in 2017 will begin to grow - up to 3.6% by the end of that year.

A reminder that the IMF mission is expected to arrive in Ukraine on May 10.
