G7 countries promise to continue supporting Ukraine's energy sector.

This was stated in a statement adopted by G7energy ministers after a two-day meeting that ended in the Japanese city of Kitakyushu on Monday, TASS reports.

"We welcome the substantial reforms in the field of energy policy, as well as reforms of the system for energy tariffs of the gas sector, which occur in Ukraine," the document says.

In particular, the heads of G7 energy agencies praised the readiness of the Ukrainian authorities to create necessary conditions for a comprehensive energy-efficient program focused on gas and heat sector.
