Gontareva: We reduce discount rate to 19%

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has decided to cut the discount rate to 19% from April 22.
NBU Chairperson Valeria Gontareva said this at a press conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The Board of the National Bank has taken a decision to reduce the discount rate to 19% per annum,” Gontareva said.
According to her, it became possible due to the significant weakening of risks for the price stability.
As a reminder, from September 2016, the discount rate totaled 22%.
