Government approves EUR 97 mln in European aid for decentralization

This is reported by the Government portal. 

"On April 20, the Cabinet Ministers approved a draft agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the European Commission, acting on behalf of the European Union, on financing of the ‘U-LEAD with Europe: Ukraine Local Empowerment, Accountability and Development Programme’ project. The agreement was signed by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities Services of Ukraine, Hennadiy Zubko," reads the statement.

 It is noted that the new program, which is launched within the framework of this agreement, is designed for four years and aims to support the reform of local self-government, decentralization in Ukraine, as well as regional development. The total funding under the program is EUR 97 million.
