Norway to give Ukraine more than 4 mln euros if it continues implementing reforms
It has been reported by the press service of the government of the Scandinavian country, Deutsche Welle reports.
These funds will be distributed among organizations that are helping Ukraine. Continuation of reforms in the country is one of the conditions for money allocation.
"The humanitarian situation in some regions of Ukraine remains tense. Five million people need help, including 1.5 million of internally displaced persons," State Secretary of the Foreign Ministry of Norway Tore Hattrem said.
Half of the amount will be sent to the Norwegian Refugee Council, which supports Ukraine's east. Another 20 million kroner will be distributed among a number of organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross, the International Organization for Migration and others.
On February 7 to 9, Hattrem will visit Kyiv, where he will meet with representatives of the Ukrainian administration, civil society, as well as Norwegian and international organizations working in the country.
