Open Skies Agreement with USA comes into force – Infrastructure Ministry

The agreement on lifting restrictions on open skies between Ukraine and the United States has come into effect, Deputy Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelian wrote on Facebook.
“As the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has reported, all legal formalities have been completed, and the Agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the United States on air transportation has come into effect,” he said.
The agreement introduces a range of changes in the air traffic between Ukraine and the United States, in particular, it promotes increased travel and trade, enhance productivity, and spur high-quality job opportunities and economic growth.
As a reminder, the Open Skies Agreement was signed on July 14, 2015 in Washington and was ratified by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on November 4.
