Moscow sets gas price for Ukraine
Russian Energy Minister Aleksandr Novak wrote on his Twitter page.
Also, Novak says he is sure that “Ukraine will not be able to replace the Russian gas. Ukraine will receive as much gas, as much it will pay for it. Everything is in a prepayment regime”.
Earlier, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn stated that Ukraine would buy Russian gas only at a competitive price. According to Demchyshyn, it should be less than $200 per one thousand cubic meters.
As Head of PJSC Ukrtransgaz press service, Maksym Biliavsky, wrote on his Facebook page, Ukraine imported 370 million cubic meters of gas from the counties of the European Union in the period between December 1 and December 27.
According to him, Ukraine didn’t buy Russian gas over the last month at all.
