German professor becomes adviser to chief of fiscal service

An expert of German Customs, law professor Lothar Gellert has become an adviser on customs policy to the chairman of the State Fiscal Service (SFS) Roman Nasirov.
The press service of Ukraine SFS reports.
In this office, Gellert will advise the chairman of the DFS on reforming customs sector at the DFS as a whole and on specific issues such as: risk management, customs value and customs post-audit control.
"In the last few months we have successfully cooperated with the Customs Service of Germany. I am glad that we managed to agree on engaging a very experienced specialist, Professor Gellert in reforming the Ukrainian customs," said Nasirov.
Professor Gellert has over 15 years of experience in the Customs Department at the Ministry of Finance of Germany.
Professor Gellert will start working in January 2016 in Ukraine.
