Naftogaz: Buying gas in Russia becomes unprofitable

Ukraine currently has more favorable gas price offers from the EU than from the Russian Federation, so it makes economic sense to buy European natural gas.
CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine Andriy Kobolev said this in an interview with the Radio Liberty, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"It makes economic sense to buy now gas from the European direction for reasons of commercial expediency and optimization of the entire Ukrainian economy," Kobolev said.
According to him, Naftogaz of Ukraine has made great efforts to diversify gas supplies to Ukraine, and these efforts have begun to take real effect. Ukraine can buy all the necessary gas volume from Europe.
