PPB faction seeks more time to review new tax code

First deputy head of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Ihor Kononenko told journalists in the Rada, Ukrinform reports.

"A month before the start of a new calendar year, to say that we can pass a new tax code is an irresponsible statement. The new tax code should be considered in a calm environment and passed in the first or second quarter of next year to give at least six to eight months for entrepreneurs to read it and make adjustments," said Kononenko.

Meanwhile, MP Kononenko said that prior to passing the country budget for 2016 lawmakers need to pass changes to the current tax code, particularly in liberalization of base taxes. He noted that at a meeting of the faction representatives  from the Rada coalition with the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance on Wednesday, November 25, it was agreed that a working group would be organized chaired by Arseniy Yatsenyuk.
