Vodafone launches 3G in Kyiv

Vodafone mobile operator has announced its plans to launch 3G-network in the capital of Ukraine and other regional centers.

Yesterday, Vodafone held a press conference where it announced its plans on introduction of 3G-network in Kyiv and other regional centers of Ukraine. The website ITC.UA reported.

According to the company representative, because of the complexity of installing new base stations in the capital, the launching of 3G-network in Kyiv will take place in several stages. The city is divided into clusters where each cluster comprises from 100 to 200 base stations. The launch will begin on November 26, when the 3G-internet will be made available in Vidradny, Sovky, Chokolivka, Karavayevy Dachi city districts.
