The Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Ministry expects that next year Ukrainians will again trust in the banking system, what will lead to the lowering of interest rates.
Ukrainian Economic Development and Trade Minister Aivaras Abromavicius said at a sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Next year the inflation will total 12%, and I expect that trust in the banking system will be regained, that’s why interest rates [on credits] will lower,” Abromavicius said.
According to him, the protection of rights of creditors must be reinforced for the normal operation of Ukraine's banking system, as banks incur huge loses because of unreliable borrowers.
The minister also stressed that all over the world the rights of creditors are protected in a peculiar way.
