Ukraine in a day or two to stop electricity imports from Russia – Demchyshyn

Ukraine today or tomorrow plans to stop electricity imports from Russia, and it will ensure the needs via own facilities. 

Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said in an interview with journalists, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I believe today or tomorrow,” the minister said, when asked about the stopping of electricity imports from Russia.

According to him, the work has been almost completed at an energy unit of Rivne Nuclear Power Plant, and after the unit’s commissioning, electricity imports from Russia would end.
