Jaresko hopes creditors agree to restructure Kyiv’s debt

Ukraine has not yet reached agreement on restructuring the debt of city of Kyiv, although the negotiations are continuing.
Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko said this at the briefing in the Cabinet of Minister, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The negotiations on Kyiv are ongoing. We have not reached agreement yet. We support Kyiv in its decision to suspend payments and we hope that creditors will agree there is the need to restructure Kyiv’s debt now," Jaresko said.
As a reminder, the Kyiv City Council adopted the decision on temporary suspension of payments for two external borrowings of Kyiv, which were carried out by placing Eurobonds. The suspension takes effect on November 6, 2015.
