Ukraine announces full ban on air traffic with Russia

Ukrinform
Ukraine’s State Aviation Service has taken a decision to fully prohibit air traffic between Ukraine and the Russian Federation from October 25 of the current year, the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry reports.

According to the ministry, the decision was taken because the Federal Air Transport Agency of the Russian Federation failed to explain the reasons for restricting Ukrainian airlines' flights in Russian airspace.

“Such a measure will be applied to all Russian airlines, and will be in effect until the cancelation of bans introduced by the aviation authorities of the Russian Federation in relation to Ukrainian airlines. After the Russian side cancels these bans, Russian airlines, which were not on a sanction list, will be able to fly in Ukrainian airspace,” the ministry reported.
