Government to decide on establishment of Ukrainian-German Chamber of Commerce

At today's meeting of the government, it should be decided on signing of Agreement between the government of Ukraine and the government of Germany on the establishment of the German-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk made a statement at a government session, Ukrinform reports.

"This is the type of organization that should give another impetus to the development of our bilateral economic relations. The joint Ukrainian-German Chamber of Commerce is a body that will allow Ukrainian and German businesses to invest, create jobs and modernize the Ukrainian economy," he said.

He said that there is a preparation underway for a business forum, which will take place on October 23 in Germany with participation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel and  German and Ukrainian businesses.

"During this forum we hope to further expand our contacts at the business level, at the political level," said the Prime Minister.

Yatsenyuk also reminded that the German government has agreed to provide Ukraine with financial support worth 500 million euros: "This is an important step to support the Ukrainian economy and develop the infrastructure."
