Consultations on the establishment of Ukrainian-Kazakh working group on energy sector are taking place in the Kazakh capital city of Astana

KYIV, October 1/ Ukrinform/. Consultations on the establishment of Ukrainian-Kazakh working group on energy sector are taking place in the Kazakh capital city of Astana as Ukrainian delegation visits the country at the invitation of the Kazakh energy minister Vladimir Shkolnik.

The press service of the Ministry of Energy and Mines reports.

"During the visit consultations have been scheduled on the establishment of Ukrainian-Kazakh working group on energy sector,” a statement said.

The Ministry of Energy and Mines notes that the working group ought to become a platform for discussion of perspectives for bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, particularly on diversification of energy supplies to Ukraine, evaluation of possible opportunities to attract investments in the energy sector.

It is also planned to discuss intensification of bilateral cooperation with the Republic of Kazakhstan in the energy sector, continued cooperation within existing projects and launching new sectors of international cooperation.
