Reactor 1 at Khmelnytsky NPP to stop for repair

KYIV, June 27 /UKRINFORM/. The first power unit of Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant will be stopped June 28 for repair to remove high turbine vibration, the NPP's information center reported.
"Reactor 1 must stop after launching Reactor 1 at Rivne NPP, where preventive maintenance is being completed. Repair work will continue for 8 days, after which the power unit will be put on stream," the press center of the station said.
For the past day, KhNPP produced 44.89 million kWh of electricity.
Radiation situation in the industrial area and adjacent regions did not undergo changes, is at the level corresponding to the normal operation of power units and does not exceed the natural background values.
