Stoltenberg: NATO responds to Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated this at the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting of the defense ministers of the EU Member States in Brussels on Tuesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We believe that respect to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of each country, including Ukraine, is very important. Therefore, we will never accept a violation of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. That's why we respond to Russia's aggression against Ukraine," the Head of the Alliance said.

At the same time, NATO Secretary General noted that the military and political bloc sought to preserve the political and diplomatic channels of communication with Russia, and, therefore, to hold a meeting of the NATO-Russia Council in the near future.
