Poroshenko: Probability of Donbas conflict escalation remains high

The President said this in Chuhuyiv town in Kharkiv region on Saturday, while handing over the military equipment to the army, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The probability of escalation of the conflict in Donbas remains significant and those, who do not feel this, should understand that the country is now in the state of war. I emphasize that the war is being waged. The protection and defense of our country are matter of not only the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but of the whole of society and authorities as well. We all have to make every effort to protect our freedom and democracy, our territorial integrity, our sovereignty. We ready to give a fitting reply in the case of a full-scale Russian invasion, which we, unfortunately, do not rule out," the President said.
