Militants launch 47 attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

Russian-backed militants launched 47 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the past day.

This is posted on the official website of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.

As reported, 27 attacks were launched in Mariupol direction. The terrorists used heavy weapons to shell Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). ATO positions near Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Shyrokyne, Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk) came under mortar fire.

In Luhansk direction, 17 ceasefire violations were recorded. The Russian mercenaries fired at Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk), Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), Popasna (90 km north-west of Luhansk), using weapons of different caliber.

The militants launched three more attacks on ATO troops in Donetsk direction. Ukrainian positions in Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk) came under 82mm mortar fire, in Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk) – under 120mm mortar fire.
