Title ‘Hero of Ukraine’ awarded to 26 servicemen since ATO start – Defence Ministry

The title “Hero of Ukraine” has been awarded to 26 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the antiterrorist operation started in Donbas.
Spokesperson for the Ukrainian Defence Ministry Oksana Havryliuk said this at the briefing on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"More than 11,000 soldiers have been awarded the highest state decorations. The title of ‘Hero of Ukraine’ has been awarded to 26 servicemen," Havryliuk said.
A total of over 37,000 servicemen and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have received state awards since the antiterrorist operation started in Donbas. More than 15,000 people have received awards and valuable gifts from the Defence Ministry, and about 11,000 people have been awarded the decorations of the Chief of the General Staff, the Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
