Militants of illegal armed group have deployed electronic warfare system Rosehip-Aero in temporarily occupied city of Donetsk, Chief Directorate of Intelligence from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Spokesman Vadym Skibitsky told a briefing, Ukrinform has reported.
"In order to counter unmanned aerial vehicles in the central part of Donetsk city the rebels deployed electronic warfare Rosehip Aero system,” Skibitsky said.
He also added that the militants have been actively collecting reconnaissance data in four locations in Donbas - Vodyane, Shyrokine, Kalynove, Almazne. Mobile systems of radio control Light-KU were deployed electronic warfare systems and electronic warfare systems Zhytel have been deployed.
"A group conducting electronic warfare in Horlivka and electronic warfare system Mercury-BM have been confirmed," noted the military official.
He also noted that all these systems are Russian made. These latest electronic warfare and reconnaissance systems are being tested in battlefield environment in the territory of our state.
