Ukroboronprom director: Concern lacks funds for technological renovation

State-run concern Ukroboronprom, which manages the enterprises of the military and industrial complex, lacks funds for technological renovation, according to Roman Romanov, the director general of the concern.
“We must transfer 75% of all incomes from the enterprises to the [national] budget. That’s why we have no money for own production and update, and such funds have not been foreseen in the [national] budget,” Romanov said.
According to him, Ukroboronprom called on the Finance Ministry and Defense Ministry to settle this issue.
At the same time, Romanov noted that Ukroboronprom invested UAH 8.9 billion in the economy of the country.
