Militants launch 57 attacks on ATO troops in eastern Ukraine

Russian-backed militants continue to shell positions of ATO troops in eastern Ukraine. Fifty-seven ceasefire violations were recorded in last day: 30 – in Donetsk direction, 16 – in Mariupol direction and 11 – in Luhansk direction.

In Donetsk direction, the enemy used 120mm mortars to shell Ukrainian troops in Troitske (69km west of Luhansk) and Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk). Ukrainian soldiers near Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk), Avdiyivka and Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk) came under 82mm mortar fire.
In Mariupol direction, the enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars to fire at Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol). Enemy snipers intensified activities outside Marinka (35 km south-west of Donetsk).
