Militants launch 51 attacks on ATO troops in eastern Ukraine

Russian-backed militants continue to shell positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements.

A total of 51 attacks on Ukrainian troops were recorded in last day, ATO Headquarters press center reports.

"The enemy used heavy machine guns and grenade launchers of various systems to fire at Ukrainian strongholds near Pisky [12km north-west of Donetsk], Berezove [35km south-west of Donetsk], Luhanske [59km north-east of Donetsk], and Troitske [69km west of Luhansk]. Ukrainian servicemen came under mortar fire outside Avdiyivka [18km north of Donetsk], Opytne [11.5km north-west of Donetsk], Novhorodske [34km north of Donetsk] and Zaitseve [67km north-north-east of Donetsk]," the report reads.

Moreover, terrorists used 82mm and 120mm mortars to fire at Ukrainian strongholds near Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol) and Krasnohorivka (29 km west of Donetsk).
