Government’s priority action plan for 2016: Ukraine to deepen cooperation with NATO

The deepening of cooperation with NATO is among priority tasks of the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers for the near future, according to the government’s priority action plan for 2016 posted on the government’s official website. 

“The successful fighting against the Russian aggression in the military sphere, foreign policy, information and other spheres is the key task for the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The special attention will be paid to the deepening of cooperation with the North-Atlantic Treaty Organization and NATO member states,” reads the document.

The Government also plans to work on the resumption of security in the state, which was violated as a result of the Russian aggression, and continue the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine.

In addition, the government’s priority action plan foresees the strengthening of unity within the state, the integration of internally displaced persons, restoration of normal life in the areas affected as a result of the Russian aggression, restoration of communication lines with residents of temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
