Interior Ministry asks for 43 mln for police in ATO area

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said this at the Cabinet’s meeting on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The Interior Ministry needs UAH 43 million. It will be spent on buying 86 off-road vehicles for the national police in ATO area," Avakov said.

Ukrainian First Vice Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv, who was also present, noted that the abovementioned amount would not cover all the necessary expenses of the national police in the ATO area.

"A great deal of property of the national police remained on the occupied territory of Donbas, so much greater funds are needed to purchase the required property," Kubiv said.
