Foreign Ministry: Ukraine to continue determined efforts to implement Minsk agreements

This is said in a statement made by the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on escalation of security situation in some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

"Ukraine will continue to remain faithful to the Minsk agreements and will make determined efforts to implement them in full. In this case, as before, we will continue to observe a principled position that a key to successful implementation of political, social, economic and humanitarian aspects of the Minsk agreements is comprehensive implementation of their military and security block,” reads the statement.

In particular, the Foreign Ministry stressed that Ukraine is deeply concerned about the continuing escalation of security situation in some districts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, caused by an increase in the number of armed provocations against the units of Ukraine’s Armed Forces from the side of illegal armed formations backed by the Russian Federation.
