Over 5,000 Zaporizhzhia residents get ATO participant status

A total of 5,016 residents of Zaporizhzhia region, who served in ATO area in Donbas, have acquired a status of participant of combat actions.

Director of region’s department on social protection of population, Ihor Mischan said this at a briefing, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“A total of 5,015 Zaporizhzhia residents, who were in the area of combat actions,  received a status of participant of combat actions. Another 83 got a status of disabled war veteran, five of them received the first degree of disability, and 14 people – the second degree of disability,” Mischan said.

According to him, the acquired status gave the right for a range of benefits to servicemen and their families.
