42 Russian servicemen killed in Donbas already this year – intelligence

Representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Defense Ministry of Ukraine Vadym Skybytsky said this at the briefing on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Since the beginning of 2016, the battle losses of the Russian servicemen from the first and the second army corpses of the Russia occupation troops equaled 42 people, who were killed in the occupied territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions," he said.

According to Skybytsky, the casualties among the Russian military are documented and are yet another evidence of participation of regular Russian forces in fighting in Donbas despite the attempts of the Russian political and military leaders to deny such participation and to conceal the real facts of their deaths in eastern Ukraine.
