Situation in ATO area escalating

"The situation in the ATO area has escalated again. The militants violated ceasefire 35 times along the demarcation line over the past day," reads the statement.

As noted, small arms, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns were used to shell Pisky (12km north-west of Donetsk), Opytne (11.5km north-west of Donetsk), Avdiyivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk).

In addition, the terrorists used small arms, grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to try to provoke Ukrainian military into returning fire outside Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), Zaitseve (67km north-north-east of Donetsk), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk).

The tense situation is again observed in Luhansk region. Late in the evening, the militants used grenade launchers and 120mm mortars to shell the strongholds of the Ukrainian units near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk).
