Poroshenko signs resolutions of Security Council: defense ministry set to obtain UAH 100 billion

"The Head of State has signed decrees on resolutions of National Security and Defense of Ukraine "On the bill of Ukraine "On State Budget of Ukraine for 2016" in the articles related to the national security and defense of Ukraine" and the resolution of NDSC "On supplying relevant information to state authorities’' dated 11 November 2015," a statement said.

In particular, National Security and Defense Council made an offer to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to make provisions in the bill "On State Budget of Ukraine for 2016" for the outlays on national security and defense of Ukraine in the amount of 5 percent of GDP for the defense and security sector of Ukraine, while financing of this sector is expected in the amount of no less than UAH 100 billion from the general budget funds.
