NATO sees reduction in Russian troops near border with Ukraine

The United States has observed a significant reduction in Russian forces stationed near the border with Ukraine, Echo of Moscow reports.
In particular, U.S. Ambassador to NATO Douglas Lute stated that the Russian contingent deployed near the border with Ukraine didn’t exceed one or two battalions.
“This means that Russia’s influence on separatists has reduced,” Lute said.
