Seventh round of military draft might start next March - General Staff

Chief of personnel at the General Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ihor Voronchenko told a briefing in Kyiv, Ukrinform reports.

"Wait until February-March. Most likely it will start in March," he said, answering the question, when can we expect a new round of partial military draft.

According to the General, estimates and forecast for personnel figure are currently underway. However, he noted that “significantly fewer” persons than in the previous rounds will be conscripted in the military draft."

The representative of the General Staff also said that nearly 18-20 thousand persons will be hired for military service under contract next year, but "the more the better." He noted that this can be done only if the motivational factors will be "matched with current demands."
