OSCE Mission should also have access to the border with Russia - Poroshenko

According to the Minsk agreements, the OSCE Special Monitoring Commission should have access to the whole temporarily Russian-occupied territory of Ukraine, including the border with the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said at a briefing after a meeting with Luxembourg's Prime Minister Xavier Bettel, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“I informed the premier that currently the process of realization of Ukrainian proposition is taking place regarding the withdrawal of tanks, the withdrawal of artillery with a caliber under 100 mm, mortars so as to ensure safe situation in the area of conflict. I also paid attention to the importance of open access of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to the whole occupied territory, including the access to the border,” Poroshenko said.

The Ukrainian President thanked the comprehensive support by Luxembourg and the European Union of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.
