Hostilities may resume at any time – Poroshenko
Ukrinform
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has stated that he "absolutely" does not trust Russian President Putin and his promises, so the Ukrainian armed forces should be up in arms to defend Ukraine.
President said this while meeting with the commanders of the combat units, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"I can say that I absolutely do not trust Putin. I absolutely do not trust his proxies. And I absolutely do not trust their promises. We must protect Ukraine. We must protect it if someone dares test our strength. Struggling for the best, the most favorable conditions of political and diplomatic settlement, I can tell you frankly that we must be prepared for the worst any moment," the President said.
"We realize that hostilities may resume at any time. Our current responsibility is to maintain high morale, high discipline and high wartime readiness," Poroshenko said, addressing the commanders.
