Prosecutor General: Over 600 people held liable for corruption in Ukraine this year

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko has said that Ukrainian prosecution authorities have held liable over 600 people for corruption this year.

The Prosecutor General said this while delivering a speech at the National Academy of the Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv, Radio Liberty reports.

"Ukrainian prosecution authorities have held liable over 600 people for corruption this year. The society does not feel that... It is a weak scale," Lutsenko said.

The Prosecutor General also noted that fight against corruption must be unbiased, and "punitive approach" should become a thing of the past.
