SBU raided offices of State Aviation Service

Today, July 26, the law enforcers of the main department on economical protection of Ukraine's Security Service (SBU) have raided the offices of the State Aviation Service of Ukraine. 

This is said in a press release available to Ukrinform.

"Activities were carried out within criminal proceedings opened under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine regarding certain officials of Boryspil International Airport, who with the assistance of the State Aviation Service officials, embezzled budget funds allocated for the purchase of equipment worth UAH 4.3 million," reads a report.

According to the report, these funds were transferred to a company, which is controlled by a resident of the Russian Federation, and then were withdrawn from Ukraine.

"The investigation is under way, we will release more information later," reads a report.
