Security chief: pseudo-volunteer from France wanted to buy arms in Ukraine for attacks
SBU Chairman Vasyl Hrytsak said this at a press conference on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“A French citizen arrived in Ukraine, who under the guise of voluntary work began to establish contacts with servicemen and promised to bring volunteer aid,” Hrytsak said.
According to him, the foreigner showed interest in whether it was possible to buy weapons in Ukraine. At the same time, the Frenchman spoke negatively about his government and informed about plans to commit a series of terrorist attacks in protest.
"Some 5 Kalashnikov guns, 2 anti-tank guided missiles, 125 kg of TNT, 100 detonators were transferred to this French citizen in the course of operational activities," Hrytsak underlined.
The SBU chief also noted that the special operation was carried out for over the course of six months.
