Ukraine’s Interior Ministry informs ICC about investigation into crimes on Maidan
The meeting participants discussed the current progress of investigation of the events, which took place at the Independence Square in Kyiv, as well as the crimes against humanity and war crimes conducted by the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies within the framework of recognizing the ICC jurisdiction.

"The comprehensive information, provided by the Ministry, will help us to form the opinion on work of the law enforcement agencies in this direction. It is important to determine whether these crimes fall within the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court," Head of Situation Analysis Section at International Criminal Court Emeric Rogier said.
In turn, First Deputy Head of the Main Investigation Department at the Ukraine’s Interior Ministry Yuri Pedos noted that the joint working group of the Interior Ministry and the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine had been set up to investigate the crimes committed during Maidan protests. Over four hundred offenses committed against protesters have been already revealed. Several criminal proceedings have been sent to the court.
